So looking forward to our next tasting on Thursday: Memaloose Winery from the Columbia River Gorge AVA. Owner, Rob McCormick will be pouring through their current releases. You will Taste: Viognier-Chardonnay, Barbera--Primitivo, Syrah-Grenache, and Estate Cabernet Franc.
The growing conditions and climate along the Columbia River lead to wines with that are quite different from other Washington State AVAs. The name Memaloose comes from the river island that is a sacred burial ground. That island lies between their vineyards on both the Washington and Oregon sides of the river. With both Washington and Oregon fruit, the blends that Memaloose create are spectacular.
5:30-7:30pm. $9 tasting fee includes pantry nibs.
